discover the beauty of a Greyhound through the lovely hound blog and you will meet a soul so gentle your heart might just melt

every racing greyhound deserves compassion

Governments in countries like Australia, England, and Ireland are still backing the risky business of Greyhound racing. In some places, new racetracks are even being built in parks, neighborhoods, and wetlands, funded by taxpayers' money.

Unfortunately, this means less funding for the things that really matter to the people who reside in these places.

These beautiful, intelligent, and gentle dogs are suffering, with minimal protection under current animal welfare laws.

This leads to many injuries and deaths during races, and countless more are left without homes once their racing days are over.

In many cases, Greyhounds are treated more like livestock than beloved pets.

Sadly, not all of these dogs meet a humane end, and some never even make it to adulthood.

Additionally, Greyhounds are sometimes shipped to China for breeding, only to face a heartbreaking fate when they are no longer needed.

While I cannot single-handedly stop this heart wrenching cruelty or change these policies, I can help raise awareness.

Through The Lovely Hound Blog, I share stories and information about Greyhounds, like my amazing Sabrina, to show how adoptable they really are.

My hope is that more people will see Greyhounds as wonderful pets deserving of love and a second chance.

By adopting an Ex-racing Greyhound, you are not only giving a deserving dog a home but also helping to put pressure on governments to end this cruelty.

When I first adopted Sabrina, she was thin and scared, but she quickly adapted to pet life and became a cherished part of our family. Her popularity on Instagram, where she has over 20K followers and millions of views, has inspired many to adopt their own Ex-racing Greyhound, saving more lives in the process.

I invite you to visit my Blog and help spread the word about these incredible dogs and the plight they are facing.

Your support can make a big difference for Ex-racing Greyhounds in need of loving homes.
